Aneurin Wright

I’m an American-born, UK-based illustrator, cartoonist and erstwhile animator. I lives in Brighton, England, with my product-designer wife, Lyndsay Lucero, daughter Aurelia, son Bixby, and cat Sir Percival Waddlebottom.

‘Aneurin’ is pronounced /uh•NY•rin/. It’s a Welsh name that means ‘Golden One.’ El Dorado means “Golden One” in Spanish. Hence Welsh el Dorado (there’s a story about my dad, a Barcelona tapas bar, and him saying ‘welsheldorado’ over and over to a couple of guys who ran a 24 hour flower stall… for another time).

Since ‘Aneurin’ looks like ‘aneurysm’, let’s keep it simple. You can call me ‘Nye’.
